About the Journal

Jurnal Widya Medika (e-ISSN 2623-2723 | p-ISSN 2338-0373) is the official scientific journal of the Faculty of Medicine, Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya. First published in 2013, this journal serves as a platform for disseminating original research articles, case reports, and literature reviews from academics and researchers in various medical and health-related institutions, including selected scientific works from medical students.

To ensure the quality and integrity of its publications, all submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening, editorial evaluation, and a rigorous double-blind peer review by experts in relevant fields.

As an open access journal, Jurnal Widya Medika does not charge any article processing fees (APCs). All published articles are freely accessible online without subscription barriers at https://journal.ukwms.ac.id/index.php/JWM, and authors retain full copyright of their work.

The journal is indexed in SINTA (impact score: 0.09), Garuda, and Google Scholar, expanding its reach and visibility among researchers. On average, the time from submission to final decision is 4-6 weeks, while the time from acceptance to publication is approximately 2 weeks.
